The 2020 Chevy Blazer features four main trims spread across six variations, along with multiple package options to further customize the SUV to suit your expectations and spending budget. Many of the trims come available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive, along with several accouterments that range from performance upgrades to accessibility components. Let's take a look.
The Base Option
The L trim is the entry-level model for the Blazer featuring a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission with an auto-manual option on a front-wheel drivetrain. The 18-inch silver aluminum wheels are kept on the road thanks to anti-roll bars, gas-pressured shocks, and speed-sensing rack-and-pinion power-assisted steering. The L trim also comes with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, six-way manual driver seat adjustments, and four-way manual passenger seat adjustments. Plus, this base trim offers dual-zone climate control, LED headlamps, an HD rear-vision camera, proximity-based keyless open and start, power windows, and heated power side-view mirrors.
The In-Betweens
The LT trim comes in three formats, the 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT. The 1LT comes with everything from the L trim but with the added features of an eight-way power driver seat, Sirius XM Satellite Radio, premium cloth upholstery, additional LCD monitor options, USB ports, and an entertainment system, along with 12-optional package upgrades.
The 2LT contains the same features as the 1LT but comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbo engine instead of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder. And the 3LT combines all the other features from the previous trim configurations but with an added roof-rack, six-way passenger power seating, leather-trimmed steering wheel, carpeted cargo space, and leather upholstery.
The RS trim features everything from the 3LT trim but with even more luxury options available for car shoppers. Most notably is that the trim comes with a powerful 3.6-liter V6 engine instead of the 2.0-liter or 2.5-liter from previous trims. There are 20-inch dark machine-painted aluminum wheels that come standard with deep-tinted windows and multiple optional LCD monitors, along with voice-activated radio. A special RS signature grille and badging along with a heated steering wheel and a hands-free liftgate make the RS a trim worthy of performance-seekers with high standards.
The Top Option
The Premier trim is for those who won't settle for anything less than perfection. This top-of-the-line configuration contains all the luxury features from the RS but with the added special chrome fascia, dual-outlet exhaust, silver-mounted roof rails, driver memory settings, six USB ports, auto-locking doors, and optional adaptive cruise control with distance spacing. Bonus features such as door access FOB controls, remote window controls, and an optional panoramic sunroof are all just icing on top of the cake.
The Premier trim is a pathway to luxury within the realm of sports utility crossovers and is the perfect compliment to those willing to go the extra mile for something special. That said, each of these trims has something unique to offer drivers. No matter the chosen trim, the Blazer is sure to satisfy.
