There are three different engines available on the 2021 Chevy Tahoe. Two of them are the powerful and popular engines that were offered before, with one other option that you can take advantage of. This gives you a lot of freedom to get the kind of power and driving experience you really want.
The standard engine on the 2021 Tahoe is a 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine that offers up to 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. This includes dynamic fuel management technology to help boost your fuel economy. Next, there is an available 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine that delivers up to 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, which also has dynamic fuel management. Both of these engines come paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission for a smooth and very responsive driving experience.
If you want an engine unlike what you will find in most other full-size SUVs out there, then you can choose an available Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel, which delivers up to 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. This also comes with a 10-speed automatic, so you do not have to sacrifice a great drive for the power and fuel efficiency of a diesel engine. While a diesel engine might not be right for everyone, having it as an option is a fantastic aspect of the Tahoe.
Some of the pieces of technology in the 2021 Chevy Tahoe that we are most excited about are not things you are going to necessarily interact with directly, but they will greatly impact your overall driving experience. While they might not be as immediately flashy as the large infotainment display or gorgeous head-up display, they are no less important.
One of the nicest mechanical upgrades for the Tahoe this generation is the use of an independent rear suspension for a better driving experience and more interior space. Perhaps the most exciting feature, however, is the four-corner air ride adaptive suspension that is available on certain trims of the 2021 Chevy Tahoe. This suspension system can automatically raise and lower the ride height to adjust for road conditions and ensure you are as comfortable and in-control as possible. You can even manually raise and lower the vehicle while parked to make it easier for passengers to get into and out of your Tahoe.

The technology that Chevy has packed into the Tahoe is also remarkable. For example, there is a 10-inch infotainment display standard, which provides you with navigation and entertainment info with gorgeous clarity. You can also get a 15-inch head-up display that projects the information you need onto the windshield, so you never have to take your eyes off the road. There is also a rear-seat media system available, which features a pair of 12-inch LCD touchscreen displays to keep your passengers entertained. This all comes together to make for one of the most sophisticated and impressive Chevy SUVs we have ever seen.
Nothing is as important as the safety of you and your passengers when you are on the road. The standard safety features in the 2021 Chevy Tahoe help keep you safe with a forward collision alert and automatic emergency braking to reduce the severity of or help you avoid a collision.
