2022 Tahoe Trim Level Overview

This three-row SUV is available in six trim levels: the LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. Each has its own style while maintaining the iconic big-Chevy look. The 2022 Tahoe LS with no added options is great if you’d like to keep things old school, piling on tons of value and standard equipment. The 2022 Tahoe LS also makes some technology and convenience features optional. The LT adds a hands-free power programmable liftgate and other features, while the RST goes further with amenities like first-row and second-row leather seats.

The Z71 is off-road focused (currently not available with turbo-diesel). It delivers more luxury and comfort additions than the RST. The Premier steps up all the features inside and out from the RST as well, with expanded automatic safety systems. The top-level Tahoe High Country takes luxury even further than the Premier while carrying the biggest fuel tank and riding on exclusive 22-inch wheels.

Colors

In the starting model of the 2022 Chevy Tahoe, the driver-side mirror is heated, auto-dimming, and power-adjustable. The panoramic sunroof lets passengers fully enjoy days of perfect weather. Trims below the High Country offer different size choices, between 17-inch, 18-inch, or even 20-inch wheels (except for the High Country). 2022 Tahoe Interior

With the third row pulled down, the cargo volume increases to 72.6 CFT—or 122.9 CFT with the second and third rows down. 2022 Tahoe Engine

The 2022 Tahoe’s three engine choices are a 5.3L Ecotec V-8, a 6.2L V-8, and a Duramax 3.0L turbo-diesel. The latter is available on all models except the Z71. The 6.2L V-8 is available on the RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. Also, for 2022, the Z71 adds an electronic limited-slip differential. All three engines use a 10-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.

The starting V-8, drivers get 335-HP and 383 lb-ft of torque, reaching up to 20 mpg on the interstate. The 6.2L V-8 gets 420-HP and 460 lb-ft of torque, also with 20 highway mpg. If a diesel fuel model is your choice, the Duramax engine gets the best fuel ratings at 21 city mpg and 28 highway mpg, along with 277-HP and a formidable 460 lb-ft of torque.

Maximum Tow Ratings and Features

The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe’s maximum tow rating ranges from 8,000 to 8,400 lbs. Turbo-diesel models in 2WD start at 8,200 lbs. The 6.2L option, meanwhile, has 8,300 lbs of max towing in 2WD. The base engine produces the best ratings, with 8,400 lbs in 2WD. Switching to 4WD reduces the engine’s rating by 200. The Tahoe’s standard 5.3L V-8 goes from 8,400 lbs to 8200 lbs. The same holds true for the other two models.

2022 Tahoe Safety and Driver Assistance

The 2022 Tahoe now has automatic high-beam lights standard, along with a restricted Teen Driver mode with Buckle to Drive,

front and rear parking sensors, and lane-keep assist.
